Outdoorsy Items

My husband Mitchell and I have spent the entire summer out on our paddleboards and just recently bought snorkel gear too! It’s by far the best summer we’ve had yet thanks to Amazon and a few stimulus checks! I wrote a whole blog post at the beginning of the summer explaining why you need multiple items for inflatable paddleboards, find that article here.

Buy this incredible, compact inflatable paddleboard for less than $200! Add on a dry bag to hold your car keys and other essentials while you’re out on the water.

Don’t forget your 2-pack of reef safe mineral sunscreen from Aveeno!

Summer Reading

Who doesn’t love reading in the sun?? These have been my favorite Summer Amazon finds for quick and easy beach reads. If you couldn’t tell, I’m a thriller type of girl haha!

The Midnight Library Book on Stairs

The Midnight Library

Somewhere out beyond the edge of the universe there is a library that contains an infinite number of books, each one the story of another reality. One tells the story of your life as it is, along with another book for the other life you could have lived if you had made a different choice at any point in your life. While we all wonder how our lives might have been, what if you had the chance to go to the library and see for yourself? Would any of these other lives truly be better? [Read More]

The Butterfly Garden (Book 1 of 3)

Near an isolated mansion lies a beautiful garden. In this garden grow luscious flowers, shady trees…and a collection of precious “butterflies”―young women who have been kidnapped and intricately tattooed to resemble their namesakes. Overseeing it all is the Gardener, a brutal, twisted man obsessed with capturing and preserving his lovely specimens. [Read more]

Where the Crawdads Sing

For years, rumors of the “Marsh Girl” have haunted Barkley Cove, a quiet town on the North Carolina coast. So in late 1969, when handsome Chase Andrews is found dead, the locals immediately suspect Kya Clark, the so-called Marsh Girl. But Kya is not what they say. Sensitive and intelligent, she has survived for years alone in the marsh that she calls home, finding friends in the gulls and lessons in the sand. Then the time comes when she yearns to be touched and loved. When two young men from town become intrigued by her wild beauty, Kya opens herself to a new life–until the unthinkable happens. Beach Attire

Now that you’ve got your main items in order, here are some of the beach clothes and extra accessories that have been such lifesavers! I am NOT a fashionista at the beach, I go for all of the casual over photograph-able but I’ve been trying to add in some easy spice items like these satin ribbon hair scrunchies; 6 for $9!

Say helloooo to THE BEST swimsuit coverup I have ever owned. Resort style beachy and flowy with a simple side tie. You can make it high waisted to cover your belly like me, or a little lower around your hips and still look effortless. Comes in a variety of colors too, but mine is white and still clean (fingers crossed)!
