1. Taste of Little Italy

One of the city’s most popular annual events is the Taste of Little Italy where you can sample foods from tons of local restaurants all in one day. This year’s event will take place on June 22nd and 23rd to try and disperse the usual crowds of the day. For $50 per person, you will get a small plate from 13 different spots in the neighborhood.

Last year, my husband and I only bought one ticket and there was PLENTY of food to split. Some of the participating restaurants are Bobboi Gelato, Craft & Commerce, Nolita Hall, Pali Wine Company, and so many more! 2. San Diego County Fair

At last, it’s back! Dare I say the best June event in San Diego?? This year’s San Diego County Fair theme is “Home Grown Fun” and will take place June 11th – July 4th (closed on Mondays and Tuesdays). To avoid overcrowding, tickets are sold per day and chosen with a specific entry time.

Admission is $10 per person and children under 5 are free. Parking is an additional $12. Enjoy your favorite fair activities like the Ferris wheel, funnel cakes, and classic pig races. Fair hack: If you book a public transportation ticket for $12, you will get a round-trip fare on the train and bus AND admission to the fair.

3. The Lot Movie Theatre Experience

San Diego’s premier move theatre is back just in time for summer! The Lot is a luxurious movie-going experience with locations in both Liberty Station and La Jolla. Grab your date or best friend and head out to watch the newest movies in the coziest reclining seat.

You can even have dinner outside the theatre beforehand or get food delivered to your seat inside the theatre! From flatbreads to grilled salmon, The Lot makes it all! Pair your meal with drinks of your choice from the fully stocked bar and score happy hour deals from 3-6pm Tuesday – Sunday. Pro Tip: on Wednesdays, movies are on sale for only $12!

4. Syucan Casino Pool Nights

What sounds more like summer than poolside movie nights? The Syucan Casino will be hosting movie nights every Friday in June. Hop in an inner tube and chill out in the pool to watch a movie like Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle, Caddyshack, City Slickers, and more. The event is limited to those 21+ and tickets are $20 per innertube or $30 per lounge chair.

For an even later night experience, buy tickets for Syucan’s Night Swim on Saturdays through the summer. DJs, neon lights, a swim up bar – what more could you want? It’s the Vegas pool parties of San Diego! Tickets are for the 21+ and cost $40 per person. You won’t want to miss out on these poolside June events in San Diego.

5. Gaslamp 619 Party

Celebrate the reopening of California with a return to the downtown San Diego party scene!
